Sidney Participants 

Madelynn Ackley

Madelynn has been working diligently  at the Sidney Senior Meals.  Her responsibilities include washing dishes, folding silverware, and bringing the prepared food to tables. When working at the senior meals Madelynn is able to improve her communication skills and is able to save for a car plus add money to her college fund.

Adrian Anderson

Adrian has been working at the Sidney Central School. He has been learning how to set up classrooms, clean out lockers, use a dolly and more. His favorite parts of the job are working with his coworkers and being able to lift items at the school. His goal is to buy a pure bread German Shepard with the money he is getting from working with the summer program. 

Abigayle Bennett

This summer Abigayle has been working at the Cullman Center in Sidney. She enjoys her job because she gets to watch kids of all ages. Some days she will be taking care of the toddlers while other days she will be overseeing the classroom with older school kids. One thing that she loves about her job is that she gets respect from not only the adults but also the kids. Her goals are to save enough money to buy her own car and pay for her insurance. 

Michael Ruling

For the summer Michael has been working at the Village of Sidney's Reservoir. Michael says that he likes his job because he enjoys outdoor work and he likes how peaceful it is out in nature. Advice that he gives is to be careful not to fall down a hill while working and to be careful with the tools. This summer he is saving up his money to be able to buy a new vehicle for himself. 

Chase Sutliff

Chase has been working at the Village of Sidney's Reservoir for the summer. His job entails weed whacking, using clippers to cut weeds, and mowing the lawns. Advice that he gives to future workers is to make sure you get a good night's sleep before work because it is hard work and even harder with no sleep. His plan is to be able to use this money for gas when traveling for college this following fall. 

Marissa Church

For the summer Marissa has been working at the CDO Workforce in Sidney as a cleaner. She enjoys working on the computers here and her favorite job is printing out packets and putting them together. Something she has learned on the job is how to work all of the office machinery. A plan that she has for the money she is making is to go school shopping for this year.   

Michaela Cotten 

Michaela has been working at the East Sidney Dam for the summer. Her favorite job at the Dam is being able to write passes for people because she gets to interact with others. Something new she has learned is that not all people you come in contact with will have good attitudes. Advice that Michaela gives is to not take it personally when people have bad attitudes and to always stay positive. Her plan is to save up her money for her trip to Costa Rica.  

Lexi Cooper

This summer Lexi has been working at the Tri-Town Youth Club. She likes her job because she is helping the kids learn and feels like a teacher. Her favorite job to do would be taking the kids for a walk because they are able to explore and play at the park. Advice that she gives is to get used to walking up stairs and to be patient with the kids. Lexi's plan for her money is to buy school clothes so her mom doesn't have to. 

James Greene

For the summer James has been working at the Tri-Town Youth Club. What he likes most about his job is that there is always something to do because activities are going on at all times. His favorite job to do here is taking the kids outside because they can interact more. Advice that James gives is to go out of your comfort zone and be outspoken with the kids. 

Damon Hawkins

Damon has been working at the East Sidney Dam for the summer. His favorite job to do would be using the leaf blower and cleaning the leaves/grass from the pavilion. While working Damon has been able to increase his painting skills by painting various buildings and tables. Advice he gives is to be patient when working the booth, you have to wait for cars to come to you.
