The financial literacy workshops this year took place in five different locations. These locations were Delhi, Deposit, Sidney, South Kortright, and Walton.

At the workshop the participants learned better ways to prepare for jobs in their future. This workshop was based around budgeting, goal setting, and preparation for future interviews. All of the participants had a chance to go through an interview like setting and were given pointers on what to say, what to wear, and overall how to be ready for a job interview. They were also taught how to create a resume for themselves, and how they should update them yearly. Budgeting was a big part of the workshop this year. Each student had to create a budget for how they were going to spend their paychecks. Another activity that the students participated in was setting goals. Here they were all able to say what they wanted to accomplish from their job this summer, things they were hoping to save up to buy, and general goals for their lifetimes.

Workshops like this help the youth of our community understand the importance of setting goals, budgeting for their future, and how to successfully prepare for a job interview.
