Delhi
Isabella Cecce
This summer Isabella has been working at Stone and Sawyer. One of the things that she does here is work with glaze samples. This includes dipping the samples into different colored glazes, after the tiles have been made in the kiln. She pays very close attention to the work she does to be sure that everything is done properly. The samples she makes are used as show pieces to let customers know what different glazes will look like.
Adrionna Cecce
Adrionna has been working at Bagels-N-Cream for the summer. Most of her job is packing bread and rolls that go out for deliveries. One of her favorite jobs is rolling out the dough and being able to make cinnamon rolls, or bagels. Something she has accomplished while working here is being hired on as an employee to work after the program ends.
Kristen Hultenius
For the summer Kristen has been working at the O'Connor Hospital in Registration. She helps to register patients by documenting their information, and getting their charts ready. Although she is a shy person, this job is helping her to become more out going and develop her interpersonal skills. Her favorite job is to fill out the ER chart because she feels really accomplished after it is done.
Hannah Baxter
This summer Hannah has been working at DC4 or The Delhi Campus Child Care Center. She really enjoys working with kids and being able to help them everyday. This job is helping her prepare for her future because she would like to go to college for Early Childhood Education. She helps them both at the playgrounds and in the classroom. The exposure to children with and without special needs is giving her valuable experience that she will need when she is a teacher.
Kayden Wagner
For the summer Kayden has been working at the Delaware Academy Bus Garage. His favorite job while working here is being able to sweep the buses, because he can see how much he has cleaned. Something he learned here is that when cleaning buses the first thing you start with is the windows. Kayden is planning on saving his money to buy a camera because he really enjoys photography.
Lizette Bishop
This summer Lizette has been working at the Delaware County Board of Supervisors. Working here has taught her to be is more comfortable asking questions when she is unsure. An average day at work includes typing, filing, and helping with projects.
Camille Mueller
Camille has been working at Bagels-N-Cream for the summer. She really loves working here because of how nice and inviting her coworkers are. Some of the jobs she does while here include dishes, sweeping, cleaning tables, and packaging bread. She is hoping to reapply for next year for the same work site as she has truly enjoyed working here.
Trevor Swart
Trevor has been working at the Delaware Academy Bus Garage for the summer. He likes that his supervisor trusts him to go off and clean the buses without watching over him the whole day. Some advice that he has is to not mess around and to just get your job done. His experience working here has him excited about next summer, and the possibility of getting another job.
Faith Savage
Faith's work experience at Styles in Motion is ideal as she is in the process of learning information for the state board exam in Cosmetology. She has learned how to make certain colors, and apply them correctly to give the desired design. When Faith passes her board exam and receives her license she will have a place to work in her salon.
Myrette Jones
This summer Myrette has been working at the O'Connor Hospital in Medical Records. She goes through paperwork, puts information in correct order, and then scans it into the system. This job has taught her to pay more attention to detail when checking the paperwork. Myrette is a hard worker and takes her job very seriously.
Dustin Coffey
Dustin has been working with the Delaware Academy Custodial Staff for the summer. He moves furniture to clean the classrooms, cleans floors, and puts everything back to its correct placement. Something he has gained is more respect for the custodial staff, and how hard they work. He says he is going to try to be more respectful when returning to school.
Gina Reinhardt
Gina has been working at the Delaware Academy Garden for the summer. Some of her many jobs include weeding the garden and planting seeds. Gina has learned is the difference between plants that are growing based on their looks and how to correctly identify them. Her supervisor likes working with her because she is always on time and comes to work everyday with a very positive attitude.
Brianna Sohns
Brianna has been working at the Delaware Academy Guidance Office for the summer. This is her second year working here and she absolutely loves it. Some of her tasks include filling the senior mail boxes, filling the teacher's mailboxes, and being able to decorate the senior's lockers. She really enjoys being able to decorate because she is able to be creative, and she enjoys arts and crafts.
Benjamin Reinhardt
For the summer Benjamin has been working at Delaware Academy with the Custodial Staff. The main job that he does is moving all the furniture out of the rooms and then cleaning the rooms. He likes his job because it isn't too difficult and he is used to cleaning. One thing he noticed about himself this year is he has a better work ethic and does not procrastinate his work.
Josh Mostert
This summer Josh is working at the Delaware Academy Bus Garage. His favorite job to do is clean the outside of the buses because of the way they shine when he is done with it. One thing he found out while working is that all the cleaning supplies have to be washed numerous times during the day, because they get dirty quickly. Advice he would give is to always stay hydrated because the buses can get very hot inside.
Aidan Paoli
For the summer Aidan has been working in the O'Connor Hospital Kitchen. Some of his favorite things include making salad, washing dishes, and wearing a really cool chef's hat. Food that Aidan has been able to prepare over the course of the summer are cake, enchiladas, meatloaf, and a turkey dinner. He has learned that organization and sanitation are the most important things in order to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
