Walton Fairgrounds
Devin Dority
For the summer Devin has been working at the Walton Fairgrounds. He really enjoys working at the Fairgrounds because he gets to work with his supervisor Rich, who he knows from school. One of the things that Devin has been able to gain from the summer program is better people and communication skills
Madison Barnes
This summer Madison has been placed at the Walton Fairgrounds. Her favorite part of working here is being able to interact with kids she knows from school, but has never talked to. She says she has been able to work hard, but also make new friends in the process. She also likes the fact that her supervisors give them helpful hints on easier ways to get the job done.
Taneka Wayman
This is the third summer that Taneka has worked at the Walton Fairgrounds. Her biggest accomplishment is communicating and being part of a new team for the summer. She enjoys the fact that she knows her job well, and feels that it accents her strengths as an employee.
Peyton Barnes
Peyton has been working at the Walton Fairgrounds for the summer. He really enjoys working here because it is outside and everyone he works with is very friendly. He has been able to gain time management skills because there are many jobs that need to be done each day. He plans on using his earnings from this summer to buy himself a car when he gets his drivers license.
Cameron Scofield
Cameron was working at the Walton Fairgrounds for his summer placement. His biggest accomplishment from the summer was when they finished weeding under the grandstand. He has learned more about trusting people and depending on people while working at the fairgrounds. He plans on applying next year because he though this was a great opportunity for him.
Dallas Crossman
Dallas has been working at the Walton Fairgrounds for the summer. Something she has gained from this experience is being more confident in both her abilities and job performance. The biggest thing she has accomplished this summer is cleaning, painting, and fixing all five of the bathrooms at the fairgrounds in just one week.
Nolan Church
Nolan has worked at the Walton Fairgrounds for the past couple of summers. He loves working with Rich because he says he is fair and always helpful. Something he has gained from his experience with the summer program is to have better people and communication skills.
Cassidy Hannon
Cassidy has been at the Walton Fairgrounds in the flower garden for the summer. One thing she likes from the job is that she feels she is gaining a lot of muscle from digging the trench in the flower beds. She likes the fact that it shows she is working hard and doing the best job she can. She felt a sense of pride when her supervisor Flossie told her what a hard worker she is.
Page Hitt
For the summer Page has been working at the Walton Fairgrounds in the flower garden. Her biggest accomplishment is using her weed identifications to pull weeds from the garden. She has gained a lot of knowledge about flowers, gardening, and weeds this summer that she plans on using at her own home in the future.
