Mya Christmas

This summer Mya has been working at the Tri-Town Youth Club. She enjoys working here because she likes kids. One thing that she has been able to gain while working here is having more patience with having to take care of numerous kids at a time.

Lucas Carroll

Lucas has been working with the kids at the Tri-Town Youth Club this summer. One thing this job has taught him is to be more patient with children and not to yell at them. He has also gained the experience and knowledge of how to work with kids and solve problems.

Trevor Ottoson

Trevor really enjoys working with the kids at the Youth Club and playing games with them. He has learned how to discipline the kids correctly, and gained work experience for the future job applications.

Jesse Woodard

This summer Jesse has been working at the Village of Sidney Reservoirs. He likes working with his supervisors because they show them how to do new things and are very nice. His biggest accomplishment is mowing the lawn by the dam at the second reservoir.

Jordan Macak

Jordan has been working at the Cullman Child Development Center. One thing she has gained from working here is the joy of seeing the kids happy and being able to work with the kids. She has learned many things about childcare from working here like how to instruct the kids and to get them to stop crying.

Alicia Cartossa

This summer Alicia has been working at the Sidney Central School. With working here she has been able to work in bigger groups, which help her to talk to more people. She has learned a lot about what the custodial staff does at a school.

Marissa Church

Marissa is working at the Tri-Town Youth Club for the summer. Something she has accomplished while working here is coming in early and volunteering to set up and get everything ready for that day with the kids.

James Greene

This summer James has been working at the Tri-Town Youth Club. He really enjoys this job because he is able to see the kids learn and grow even in the short time he works during the summer. One quality he has really gained this year is punctuality.

Aydyn Tweedie

For the summer Aydyn has been working at the Tri-Town Youth Club. One thing he has learned from working here is how to work well with kids, and that you can't always be their friends. He felt really proud to have done well at the Youth Club because this was his first job.

Christian Dumay

Christian has been working at Sidney Senior Meals for the summer. He enjoys that his job is repetitive so he knows exactly what to do when he goes into work and doesn't need help to get it done. He also has learned a great deal of food preparation knowledge from working here.

Abigayle Bennett

Abigayle loves working at with the kids at Cullman. She really likes her supervisor, Amy, because she is very kind and gives flexible hours when she needs it. Her favorite part of the job is being able to work with the kids and learn more about child development.

Keith Fredette

For the summer Keith has been working at the Sidney Public Library. Something he has accomplished while working here is getting to know how the library book system works. By learning where all the books should go he has really learned the layout of the library and plans to spend more of his time here.

Lillian Mazepa

One thing Lillian has gained from working at the Tri-Town Youth Club is more responsibility. She has accomplished a lot this summer like making new friends that she will see in school, and being able to make slime with the kids during arts and crafts.

Aidan DeMoirer

This summer Aidan has been working at the Tri-Town Youth Club. One thing that he is really proud of is that he worked the whole summer and it kept him out of trouble. He enjoyed the program a great deal and can't wait to try something new next summer.

Thomas Cartossa

For the summer Thomas has been working at the Village of Sidney Reservoirs. He has gained a lot of discipline knowing that the work has to get done and to not lolly gag. This work experience taught him how to properly use some hand tools.

Bradley Bush

Here is Brad stocking the pantry at Sidney Senior Meals. His favorite task is doing the dishes because he likes to clean and put them away. Something he has gained from participating in the Summer Youth Employment Program is work experience for the future, and a work reference when he is trying to get a job when he is older.

Damon Hawkins

This summer Damon has been working at the East Sidney Dam. One of his favorite things to do is teach others how to do the job correctly. He has worked at the East Sidney Dam for a few years now and has learned many things like running the gate, painting the fences, and writing day passes.

Caitlin Manwarren

For the summer Caitlin has been working at the East Sidney Dam. Her favorite job while working here is helping to run the front gate. At the gate she is able to talk to all the people that come into the park, and she writes day passes for them. She really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and liked the people she was working with. Her advice is to always bring bug spray and sun screen when working outdoors.
